Dana M.Williams
Dana Williams is a graduate from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She has received her Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communication. Dana has maintained nothing lower than a 3.0 g.p.a at SIUC. She has been on the Dean's List as well as the Honor's List and received various scholarships throughout her time in college.
Dana worked as a reporter for WSIU- River Region Evening Edition. River Region is an award winning student ran newscast that broadcast live to more than 350,000 PBS viewers Monday - Thursday. Dana gathered B-roll/footage, edit, wrote scripts and conduct interviews by a 4:30 PM deadline on a weekly basis for the newsroom. She has been involved with River Region since her Freshmen year of college.
Dana was heavily involved in other organizations like the National Association of Black Journalists, WIDB-The Remedy Hip- Hop radio station and ENVY Fashion Fair Models. In each organization she displayed positivity, great energy, leadership and dedication. And will display those same characteristics for any employer she works for.
Currently, Dana is now in her second season working for Warner Bros/Telepictures, in downtown Chicago at the NBC Building, as an Associate Producer. In the past she worked at the third largest urban radio station in Chicago, IL at Crawford Broadcasting WPWX - Power 92 as the Former Radio Producer for the Rickey Smiley Morning Show. She also has her hands in editorial writing; as a freelance writer for one the largest publications in Atlanta, Rolling Out. She's always thriving for new innovative ideas to excel in the entertainment industry. Dana has related skills in: Filemaker, Editing, Microsoft Word and Powerpoint, Sales/Marketing, NEXGEN and VOXPRO. She also has more than a decade of customer service and marketing experience.
